Ekrem YILMAZ
I was born in Bursa in 1971. I began my painting and art education at military high school and continued at the military academy. Between 1985 and 1993, I painted oil paintings and participated in several exhibitions with my school. Between 2022 and 2025, I worked with painters in various studios, particularly the renowned Turkish painter Orhan GÜREL.
I love painting my own photographs and visual compositions that resonate with me and that I enjoy, using my own interpretation and colors that match my soul. Expressing vibrant colors in harmony, using light and shadow, is very important to me. I am influenced by Impressionism. I create works in oil, acrylic, and watercolor.
Influenced by the global situation, with the start of 2024, I also began creating abstract works, which I call the "Chaos Series." From time to time, I enjoy creating unique flowers, especially in watercolor. I believe these flowers soothe my soul.
I exhibited my works in 27 exhibitions/fairs, 21 of which were in the country, one of which was personal, and 6 of which were abroad (in London, Lisbon, Dubai, Bologna, Malaga and Sofia).
